hi, i'm a new member.... thanks to those members who sent me a welcome.... much appreciated

i use a wooden folding gandolfi 5/4... which leaves the focus screen unprotected if i transport the thing unlike a linhof/mpp which has screen protection.

at the moment i'm using some foam, cardboard and an elastic band or 2. anybody found a better solution??

thanks

Hi Stuart

I have a Domke protective wrap for my Wista, which is a square padded cloth with Velcro tabs which stick to the fabric. It is well padded and is quick and easy to get on and off. Available in various sizes from Robert White and costs about a tenner+VAT.

I second the Domke Wraps. Nice and soft. I use some for my lenses.

In addition, I'd cut a sheet of 5mm foamcore board to the size of the GG frame so it covers it appropriately. It can absorb a bit of impact, and doesn't add bulk or weight to the camera.
