I have just ordered one of these holders for my double dark-slides.

They are available in 3 sizes: 5x4, 5x7* & 10x8**.... all at the same price! The total cost of ordering one with the cheapest postal method from the States came to just under £50.

I assume that is the holder that has been designed as a replacement for the (no longer produced) Gnass holder and was discussed at length over on LFPF with much input to the design from the forum?

I look forward to a user review once you receive it and have had a chance to use it in the field.

For those who use Grafmatic film holders, Bruce Laughton has confirmed that they also fit this case.

It arrived Friday, with no custom charges levied (unless they are levied later!).

It has 6 separate zipped, black pouches to hold the DDS and the end of each (closed) zipper has a black circular piece of velcro attached. The section above each pouch, on the right hand side, has a small white window with plastic for writing details of the film therein contained, presumably using a sharp Chinagraph type pencil. (I last used those for writing backwards on a large perspex display screen, during the Cold War ). To the side of this small window is a white Velcro circle. When you have exposed both sides of a DDS you may use the black Velcro disc attached to the zipper to occlude the white disc, indicating that the film is exposed. All very neat!

There is a handle for use both when the holder is fully open and closed. I look forward to using this when not using my Quickloads.

When you say 'six separate zipped, black pouches', does that mean it actually holds six double film holders? Thanks.

If they were not levied prior to delivery then there will be no charges to pay. My experience is that you are invoiced for customs charges prior to delivery and they have to be paid before the post office will deliver your parcel. Good escape that as you should be liable for VAT at least.

Sorry about that. Yes, you are right. I would like to claim English is my second language but unfortunately it's my first!
