Friday 13th from HELL!!!!!

Post by Sean Lewis » Fri Jul 13, 2012 2:51 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I've just managed to get back home safely on this here Friday the 13th, traveling from Bordeaux since 2.30am without a hitch. Six miles from home I get a phone call from a friend who runs the Bognor Sussex camera shop with the rather distressing news that Fuji are discontinuing the production of Velvia. The last shipment is in November apparently, and I'm flipping pissed off about it!!!! :@

I'd wait to hear that from a more concrete source personally. I've lost count of the number of times velvia has been announced as "discontinued" on various forums.

I do hope you're right Dave, this was in an email from Fuji to Sussex Cameras. See what pans out in the next few days.

That's a pretty authoritative source, though happily there's nothing on APUG so far…

Its unlikey that any regional shop deals directly with Fuji though, more likely they deal with "fuji uk" which is just an importer/distributor.

Time to make your own. So far, I've cut out 5x4" oblongs from 4 pint plastic milk bottles and dipped them in various coloured food dyes and egg white. No luck yet though! :(

I would find this very surprising, film wise that is not the appearance of said 'mountain', given the past sale results for this film, after all, it's always seemed to me to be an 'over popular film' with plenty of serious folks promoting it's use and abilities and it very much has it's followers on here

personally, it's way too rich and saturated for my taste

Oh well, guess I'll be saving some money not buying any E6 film or chemicals after I've run out...
