Great review Paul and so much more entertaining than the boring old written one I did for another website! http://www.ephotozine.com/article/ilfor ... view-21705

I was going to mention the newly set up Obscura Flickr account but I see you're there already. :) http://www.flickr.com/groups/ilfordobscura

Hi Peter

Thanks Peter!, hadn't realised you had already reviewed it... but there again I don't frequent ephotozine so can be excused.

Great write up and pretty much concludes our (Leon Taylor & I) thoughts. I suppose video can relay information in a more visual way but a written review can include more detail, as per yours.

I'm actually attending 'Photographica' in London tomorrow where Ilford are officially selling the new Obscura.

Quality cheap glass lenses are readily available on the open market if you find pinhole results too fuzzy. Repromasters and Escopfots come highly recommended. If you have a modern shutter step up rings to fit the shutter are available and these can be superglued or Aroldited to the front of the lens. Packard or Luc type shutters are also very useful especially if you don't like those blurred pinhole results. Spending a load of cash on a camera that is unable to give quality images has always bemused me. I recently bought a totally useable Kodak Specialist half plate camera for £50 with a lensboard, the stuff is out there and it's built in traditional materials, not plastic.
