Frozen negatives

Some negatives left around a century ago have been discovered in the Antarctic ice and have been successfully developed.

Extraordinary. I wonder what size the negs were. One of the pics looks as if it might have been 10 x 8.

At that time it likely they were one of the "plate" sizes, whole, half etc.
