Portraiture and still-life anyone?

I`ve noticed that the majority photographs on this site are mostly of landscapes or architecture images. I was wondering if anyone ever takes photo`s of still-life subjects or portraits?

I have a copy of John Blakemore`s Black & White Photography Workshop which has a lot of still-life subjects along with some abstract landscapes photographs all taken with an MPP and just one lens, a Schneider 180mm f/5.6 Symmar-S.

hello Keith,my work is mainly portrait.i work on a theme,you could call it more documantry portrait.
the 5x4 has been used very little on this still t yet,but i'm getting to use it more now.the main reason i haven't used it on my themed portrait is because i need to get to know how to use it better before i take it with me.with documantry you are only allowed very little time,but the result i've had from it up to now is been fantastic.

Probably about half of my LF shots are still life ... this one's an old favourite of mine - taken with a 1930 Zeiss Ikon 135mm lens on HP5 ...

That`s an interesting image, although I personally like strong front to back sharpness and definition with B&W photography.
