Anybody using Tri-X 5x4?

Post by Matt_Bigwood » Fri Jun 08, 2007 11:12 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

It was always my favourite 35mm black and white film, but I haven't been able to track down any Tri-X 5x4 sheet film, and I'm wondering whether its available in the UK?

Hi Matt

If you 'google' kodak tx film, you will see a website about 4 or 5 down from the top (morco). They look as if they stock it for large format.

There are two versions of Kodak Tri-X, the 35mm stuff is ISO 400 and coded as (400TX), this is also available in 120 size rolls. There is also an ISO 320 version coded as (320TXP), this AFAIK is available in 120/220 and is the only version of Tri-X available in sheet sizes.

Keith...I thought 120/220 was roll film. If you take a look on the 'morco' website, you too will clearly see that the tri-x is available in 5x4 sheet film.

120 & 220 sizes are roll-films. The sheet film in 5x4 size will most likely be (320TXP) and not (400TX).
