I use a Schneider 180mm Symmar-S lens on my 5x4 Camera. If I ever decided to buy a 5x7 inch format Camera, would this lens comfortably cover that area of film?

The Schneider website gives an image circle of 252 mm for this lens. The diagonal of 5x7 is ~210 mm, so yes it would cover. Comfortably? Well that depends on how much movement you would need!

I use a 180 Symmar (no letters, the convertible kind) on 5x7". No problem at all. The 150mm Symmar is usable too, but only straight on with no movements.

Thanks to George and Ole, just something I wanted to know if I ever decide to move up to the next larger format.
It looks like I will be able to apply some movements if required provide they are not extreme.
