film cleaner/mounting fluid

Post by gari » Thu Jun 22, 2006 9:44 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I have been reading a thread on the LF Forum re film cleaner and mounting fluids and some of them seem to infer that it is possible to wet mount on flat beds. Any one do this, have any ideas or comments and/or know where to get the materials in the UK? I could really do with the cleaning fluid as I dry my processed sheets in the open and they sometimes require spotting when scanned.
thanks

Hi Gari,

I use a product called PEC 12 for film cleaning, but I can't remember where I got it! Google for it!

With respect to wet mounting film for scanning, I had never heard of it until 2 minutes ago. It is available for use on the new Epson V750Pro scanner - have a look at the specifications on www.parkcameras.com.

See...eventually you got a response :D
