There is an Ebony SV45TE for auction on Ebay at the moment ....

(In my opinion) This one is dodgy

Obviously I nave no concrete proof to support this warning but having bought the same camera on Monday of last week with a BN price of £750 only to discover that method of payment/delivery was "worrying" (to me). I live approx 8 miles form seller and he refused payment in cash/collection and gave no answer as to why he was selling a camera with a used value of £1500 - £1800 for £700. Demanded a cheque within 2 days or he'd sell to a load of buyers he had lined up - when I mentioned Consumer Protection legislation .... never heard from him again :?
Maybe me but ...[/quote]

Thanks for your advice on this one Paul.

Its interesting, the supposed seller has not had any feedback for around a year.

I'm curious as to why you think it's dodgy. Care to share your thoughts on this?

Its back on the auction site, increased price!

He now has recent feedback and appears to have sold another Ebony previously.

Well, I met David Evans the other week, otherwise known as newmoon2night; he bought the Ebony SV45Te and the 240mm lens, I have seen them and they seem as kosher as I can tell.
