Where can I get my Minolta Spotmeter serviced?

Post by George Hart » Sat Oct 25, 2008 3:22 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi folks, I'm just back from the Lake District (which has lived up to its name this week  ), and I would like to find someone who can take apart my Minolta Spotmeter F. Early in the week it took a brief dip in Buttermere. :( Enough water got inside to make it look as if it was raining when peering through the viewfinder. Now that it's dry I fitted the battery back and the reading is oscillating as if it's being pointed at fairy lights going on and off!

It was showing signs of age before this happened so I don't want an expensive oem refit, but I would be prepared to have someone look at it and give me an estimate. So please chip in with suggestions as to who might take on this sort of work.

Many thanks,

George

Hi George,

It might be worth giving Newton and Ellis in Liverpool a call - I've heard good things about them on other forums.

Thanks Tim. I've sent them an email.
