Gari,
Some of the lenses have been bought with "defective" shutters. Some of the shutters were easy to repair, some have been put in working shutters bought with broken glass. The Leitmeyr is in a shutter from a broken 90mm Angulon, the 90mm Angulon came with a totally gummed-up shutter, the 121mm SA has a 1 stop offset on the aperture from being put in a different shutter by a previous owner ("Aperture doesn't work").
For a while the old single-coated Symmars and Angulons were "unpopular", which is when I bought the 165 Angulon, and 180 and 240 Symmars. The 210 Angulon is from around 1939 - uncoated and bought as an "antique lens, maybe for plate camera!". The 300mm Symmar was glued to the lensboard - took me forever to get it off. I don't need lensboards for the big cameras, they're all equipped with iris mounts.
I picked up three G-Clarons (150, 210 and 355) together as "defective lenses for repair?" for the grand sum total of £30. I've given away the 150 in another "donor" shutter, I'm trying to sell the 210 (in new shutter, which makes it a bit expensive), and the 355 was just old enough to fit straight into a Compound #3 shutter I happened to have.
The Germinar-W was bought in barrel, and I bought a new shutter for that. At the same time I bought a shutter for the 210 G-Claron, but came across a 210mm f:6.1 Xenar which was practically unused at a bargain price (half the price of a shutter).
What else - the Apo-Lanthar has a scratch on the rear element. I bought that and three other lenses for the money I got when I sold a 210mm Apo-Lanthar which I got with one of my first LF cameras.
And then there are the barrel lenses... I've lost count of how many of these I have now. I can't help putting in a low bid if I see one on ebay, and every once in a while I win one. The "extremes" are the 150 WA Anastigmat at 80 gram, and a 20"f:3.5 Petzval at 2.4 kg - I need a bigger, stronger camera for that! The "small ones" I can use on a Speed Graphic I picked up last month for $56. Very old, no lens, scuffed leather... Imagine my pleasure when I received it, and saw that it had a brand new synthetic bellows, the focal plane shutter not only works but is accurate, and I had a small iris mount which just barely fit on the lensboard...

In reply to your other question, I'm just outside of Bergen on the west coast. I've spent some time in Evje myself, but not voluntarily (army duty).
