Jem Southam - large format colour landscape photographer is holding a 'Masterclass' and evening talk at the Lowry Centre in Salford on 6th & 7th February 2009. Tickets and information are available from the Redeye photographic site:

Jem lectures at the University of Plymouth and I know it will be a good experience. I met him at one of his classes in Exeter displaying the 5x4 pinhole camera and his 10x8 Gandolfi. He is also doing a series of photographs on the Normandy and Brittany coast line.
I hope he comes up to your expectation.
