Spurred on by the encouragement to do my own I have inherited an old
Jobo rotary processor which seems to of been hardly used
It has tanks and reels for 35/120 and 5x4 but no instructions
I have read a few posts about them but there seems to be a lot of contradictions
so Here we go
What temp/times should I try for
1 HP5
2 FP4
3 Fuji Arcos
Do I need to pre-rinse
What chemicals do you recommend to start with
I believe you can water down to slow the process to give me time to get used to what I am doing
I have read that 6 sheets of 5x4 makes for uneven results
thanks
Robin

Strongly suggest you visit APUG or specialist film sites like 'digital truth' and 'unblinking eye' for times with the developer you intend to use for each or all of these film types.
This project, whilst new to you, has been researched thoroughly and reported on the web. There are many ways to do it, so it is best to have a good read and choose one of the methods which sounds most agreeable to your way of thinking.
So long as you put the 'wings' on, there is no problem at all with processing 6 sheets of film in one 2506 Jobo holder. I do it all the time for E6, C41 and B+W.
I do use a pre-rinse although many say it is unnecessary.

I use Kodak D-76 diluted 1:1 for processing sheet films exposed at box speed in my Jobo CPA2 with Jobo Lift. I don`t use a pre-rinse, instead I let the film-loaded drum rotate in the tempering trough for a few minutes before pouring in the developer.
I develop FP4 Plus for 9`:45" @ 21*C and HP5 Plus for 11`:45" @ 21*C.
I`m not sure about the Fuji 100 Acros though as I wasn`t too keen on it in 35mm and 120, so it`s best to experiment first before commiting to important negatives. Ilford suggest cutting back the small-tank times by up to 15%, but I personally found the results too flat.
For Stop-Baths and Fixers, use the same times as for small-tanks with intermittent agitation and give 4-5 changes of water for 30-60 seconds each to wash the films. Use a non-hardening fixer such as those sold by Ilford or Fotospeed.

I should have pointed out in my previous post that I only use rotary processing for sheet-films. I use inversion agitation for 35mm and 120 roll-films and use the same times and temperature with both inversion and rotary processing (no curtailing the times with the Jobo).
