I tried using one of these holders with my Linhof Colour Kardan 45s recently but it seems to keep getting stuck behind the GG, whereas I have had no such difficulties with the Fuji 5x4 instant film back, Fidelity dark slides or my Fuji QL film holder. Is there something wrong with my holder or is the problem with my Linhof back?

Or perhaps I'm doing something wrong....?

Will the 405 holder work with my Ebony when it eventually arrives, or should I just sell the 405 back (with the boxes of colour & monochrome film I bought to use with it)?

I have a 405 back and it works fine on my Chamonix

I have found that because the 405 back is much thicker than the 545 back you have to be careful inserting and removing but with a bit of fiddling does work OK. I have in fact stopped using it on my 5x4 and it now resides permanently on my pinhole camera.

I think I will keep it and use it with one of those nice pin hole cameras instead. It would be lovely for producing soft architectural shots of London.

Just an update...

Whilst the holder gets rather stuck in my Linhof Kardan Color 45s, it is OK in my Ebony SU45. Perhaps the Polaroid 405 holder was not around when the Colour Kardan was made?
