Cooke are taking pre-orders on their excellent soft focus lens, which was modelled on one of the Pinkham Smiths (not sure which one though). At present the orders are only listed with Badger Graphics.

A truly excellent lens.
Robert White will also have a list. Go on, you know it makes sense - Order and buy British! For their last consignment of 3, one went to Zurich, one to Tokyo and one to Lymington.
Price will only go up.''

UPDATE
The link below takes you to Clive Russ's website where he has more information on this lens and the beautiful effects both in and out of focus, a characteristic it seems to share with the XVa triple convertible, which can be used on 5x4, 5x7 and 10x8 inch cameras.... bellow length permitting
http://www.cliveruss.com/cooke/cookeps945/index.html
I particularly like the subtlety of the following images by Russ:
indoor portrait, monochrome, Tri-X at f8:
http://www.cliveruss.com/cooke/cookeps9 ... acono.html
outdoor portrait, colour, Kodak transparency, f6.3:
http://www.cliveruss.com/cooke/cookeps9 ... sofie.html
Notice the out of focus blossom in the foreground and the tree trunks in the background.

Bit of a heads up.
I'm probably going to be selling my Cooke PS945 once I get back from a couple of weeks in Cornwall. Essentially I'm not using it as much as I feel that I ought and that someone else might get to enjoy owning and using this wonderful lens.
Serial Number is 0071, so not quite James Bond, but Never say Never....
Will sort pictures and price in due course. Unless you want to make me a good offer now. Won't be able to do PM's after Thurs when I head down to Sennen, but will be able to do get emails via iPhone.
Lens is in pristine condition, comes with metal Cooke lens caps, original rustic Cooke packaging (wait for the photos!) will also include Copal 3 Ebony/Linhof lens panel.
