Hi Eddie,
Would like to meet up but I'm stupidly busy with work this week.
Suppose Selfridges is the obvious choice if you looking for locations...what sort of subjects are you interested in?
My own personal favourite in Birmingham is the "old" library at the end of Broad Street, shame they are knocking it down next year, a classic design, only Birmingham could call it Paradise Place http://www.edwardmoss.co.uk/news/entry/paradise/
Regards
Ed

hiya ed
i'm not in birmingham now but i'm from around there and there are a few nice places to visit but a bit outside of birmingham in the black country, only about 8 miles or so. the black country museum is a good place to start:

there are some quite old industrial roots around the place too like this old stourbridge glass cone area on the first link and lots of canals too. the second link is a phenomenon called bank horses, "bonk osses" in the local lingo, people just keep them any where, these were all at a place called the fens pools by brierley hill. i have a friend who lives there, he has donkeys next door:

these links aren't LF but give you an idea.
cheers
