I was having a general browse around for something else and came across this
Geograph site where they are trying to compile pictures for every OS grid square in the country.
I know all the pictures aren't going to be up to LF standard

but you might find an odd gem or something that gets your juices flowing enough to venture out...

Wow indeed! In a similar vein, I am upgrading my website and would like to use a map of GB. Scale does not need to be fantastic but outlines should be clear enough to know where we are looking at. Of particular use would be a map for Snowdonia, and one for western Scotland (inc islands). Does anyone know where I can get an image of maps without incurring the wrath of the copyright-man?

I've looked round some of the pics of my area - I like the "Report a problem with this picture button."
Where do I start? Exposure, composition, barrel distortion? The list is nearly endless...
