What an 'ansome bunch! Thanks Paul an excellent day indeed, great locations and superb company. And thanks Tim for your patience in sharing your sat nav with me to the A34, and driving slow enough for me to keep up

Re: Ridgeway outing?
Four excellent images Paul, I particularly like the first one at Wayland's Smithy, Velvia has certainly added a nice blue tint to the mist.

Ok - here's my view of Waylands Smithy. Its shot on Portra 160. I've also got a Provia shot taken with the same layout but I think I like the shadow detail that's in the trees with this film.
I'd also like to add my thanks to Paul for organising a good day out....

A superb collection of images from the day. Mine are sat waiting for a couple more shots before I can process them, which I'm hoping will be this weekend.

Liking the look of the Portra 160, think I need to try someTimH wrote:Ok - here's my view of Waylands Smithy. Its shot on Portra 160.

Re: Ridgeway outing?
Paul, Richard and Tim,
All looking good. It always amazes me how so many different interpretations arise from the the same basic scenes; the slightly different choice of viewpoint, the different focal lengths and the different films all have a huge impact on the image.
My thanks to you too Paul for taking the time to organise us all into a coherent crowd!
Best regards,
Evan

How do I add pics. to reply?
I keep getting board attachment quota has been reached even though each of my 2 files are less than 100kb each.

Hi John
Most people find it better to link images from a free image hosting service such a flickr (my preferred method) or photobucket
All you have to do is copy and paste the image url between

Hi John
Due to hosting restrictions, we do not have the ability to take any more attachments. As Paul says, it has always been preferable to post your images on a service such as Flickr and then link to them from your message.

Some lovely photos on this thread* - every time I travel down the M4 I think I must come back to this area with a camera sometime ... but I haven't had time to do much (any) proper photography recently.
* If I had to pick just one -RichardP's first one I think.
