Ah well, initiation completed and workshop over.

The six of us did not get as much shooting done as we would have liked, but the company and beer were very good.

PS - I finally discovered that the rite involves a Tesco All Day Breakfast and becoming a rain-god for a couple of days (the clouds love you and follow you everywhere - acknowledgement to Douglas Adams for this insight).

Excellent! Pity about the weather but I agree that maybe the UKLFPG are in fact rain gods Perhaps the tea-shops are where the locals offer their sacrifices of tea and scones to try and appease us?

Did anyone manage to get to Westonbirt Arboretum? If so were the "colours" any good?

It was indeed a pleasure, if brief as I could only be there for the Saturday. My thanks must go first to Steve Bell for his excellent (and patient) navigation around the hazards and deviations of Stroud. Best not to get caught up in that again, but then maybe they will repair the flood damage soon.

And thanks to all for good company, Dave, Steve, and Barry, and SteveH, who made the poor weather seem far less important.

Barry, I'll show you the Surveyor next time.

I too had a good time, although I only exposed 3 sheets. After leaving you all Sunday morning the weather was no better at the other end of the Cotswolds. It was wet and windy as I drove through Bibury.

Paul, as far as I know none of us went to Westonbirt. If the weather is suitable I hope to go there this coming Sunday. I'll google to see if the Acers have turned yet.
