Autumn 2009 - Workshop details

Provisional details for the Autumn 2009 Workshop are as follows:
The location for the Autumn 2009 Workshop/Gathering is set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. We will be based in the village of Capel Curig which will give us access to most parts of the National Park.
Provisional dates are:
Friday 9th October (evening) through to Sunday 11th October.
I am waiting on confirmation of accommodation but have been able to book the Community Centre in the village for the Saturday (day and evening) should the weather be too bad or for discussions and demonstrations. http://www.capelcurigcommunitycentre.co.uk/
I have approached the Cobdens Hotel regarding accommodation for participants but there is a wealth of guest houses and hotels in both Capel Curig and nearby Betws y Coed.
I have a number of locations in mind to visit over the weekend and some walking will be involved - however this will be low level and there is no rush! But walking boots and a waterproof jacket are recommended!
Provisional list of locations, for those who want to do some advanced Googling, to date include:
Llyn Ogwen/Ogwen Valley ( lovely, easily accessible valley with stunning views of Tryfan);
Llyn Idwal (even lovelier valley set off the Ogwen Valley with excellent vistas of the Glyders, Devil's Kitchen as well as Pen yr Olwen);
Nant Peris Pass (stunning views from the Ogwen Valley down to Llanberis);
Llyn Mymbyr (lakeside vista with views along the valley to the Snowdon Horseshoe);
Llyn Gwynant (another lake with stunning backdrop of Snowdon massif);
Anyone wishing to venture further afield:
The Fairy Glen (secluded valley just outside Betws Y Coed; mini-canyon with vertical walls and waterfalls);
Then of course there is Cwm Orthin (near Blaeanu Ffestiniog) - if the weather is miserable then this place is a must! About a 45 minute drive away to the slate capital of Wales then a short (but steepish) climb from a car park leads into the secluded valley that once housed a thriving slate-mining community. Plenty of slate heaps, abandoned buildings, bits of rusting machinery, remains of the community chapel as well as barrack housing and moody backdrops ... luvverly!!
If this is "up your street" then please register your interest here!
I have a good knowledge of the area so I'm happy to answer any questions relating to terrain, accommodation, etc,etc.
I appreciate that October is a long way off but it would be useful to have an idea of numbers
