Mini Workshop - Cleeve Abbey, Somerset

Following on from Barry's suggetsion for a visit/workshop at Cleeve Abbey (see comment on Somerset Photos thread!) I rang and spoke to the custodian today. The abbey is closed until 31 March so I thought an ideal opportunity for a public-free workshop

Unfortunately the abbey is undergoing restoration work during this preriod so a workshop is out
However, she did say that a group visit would be possible and suggested a weekend during the end of April/beginning of May - apparently this time of year is VERY quiet and we should have little interference from the public.
Anyone interested? I appreciate that this date will be close to the Spring Gathering but if we can get a few of us who are interested it could be good?
Let me know! Paul

As I live in Plymouth, Devon, I would definitely be interested. I am on two-weeks paid leave from Monday 16th April to Friday 27th April, so can not attend later than Sunday 29th due to my job. If the dates could be more specific, I will look forward to meeting up some of you LFers who will (hopefully) provide me with some guidance with my MPP.
I see that many of you use Sinar, Ebony, Toyo etc, Roll-Royce cameras. I guess my camera is an old Skoda by comparison.

Hi Keith - I will confirm dates in the next week or so. As for choice of camera ... as long as its "big" then everyone's happy

I too am interested. I remember catching some trout in the stream that runs along the road there when I was about 16 and staying on holiday in Watchet. I'd probably stay over at my daughters in Bristol.

I was looking around the site to see whether there was an opportunity to "do" an LF workshop, and noticed its been a little quiet around here lately...anything pending?

Nothing official, but that doesn't stop you finding a location and time and inviting everyone who can get there along

Just post your ideas in a new thread in the Workshops forum and see who bites.
