I fly in from Portugal on the Friday night so I won't be able to make it this time :( I'll look forward to seeing the results though.

Have fun,

Sean

Keswick - Portugal. Portugal - Keswick. Mmmm, tough decision.
Enjoy your trip abroad,

I'd love to come for the Saturday. I'm new to LF and use 5x4 but have years of 35 mm and digital behind me. Is there a group specifically for us numpties and what time and where do we meet?

Many thanks,
James

Hello James,
Firstly you're very welcome to attend. I am not sure how many beginners will join us, but I suspect you will be surrounded by habitual users, some of them hardened.
The plan so far is to meet on Friday evening and decide what we're doing on Saturday. It'll depend a bit on the weather. Dave Tolcher and I will go out for a recce on Friday: Dave suggested somewhere around Grange in Borrowdale.
I'll drop you a pm with my mobile number, so that you can find us.
See you soon,
Charles

Hello Charles,

I wont ask whether I could tag along as you are clearly welcoming forum readers. Like James, I'm a LF beginner having owned my camera for only a month, so it would be good to hook up with other beginners and experienced practitioners alike. I live in South Lakes so, all being well, it would be good to pop up on Saturday morning if that's ok. I'll PM my number.

Best regards, Graham

Just realised this clashes with my group exhibition so we'll not be able to make it. Bugger I thought it was next month.

Graham,

No problem - some of the 'experienced' members may be all fingers and thumbs - I haven't used my LF gear for a few years (hangs head in shame) so will probably make a few obvious mistakes before I get back into the swing of things... ;)

It's only 2 hours from Keswick to Newcastle - almost on the way. :)

Hi Charles,

Unfortunately due to health issues I won't be able to make it this weekend, apologies for the late notice.

Cheers,

Glenn.

It was good to meet up with a few old faces once again and enjoy some fine company, beer, food and weather. Yes, I did say weather. It was mostly good, especially a rather special dawn on Saturday morning. Apologies for not being around Sat evening / Sun morning. Shot quite a bit of film for a weekend and not looking forward to the processing bill. I am, however, looking forward to the next meeting whenever/wherever that may be.

Yes, it was a nice weekend, thanks to Charles for putting it together. And as Nigels said good company, food and some nice beer. Shot a few sheets, will start to develop this weekend and hopefully put a few up for you to give feed back on.

Regards

Richard.

Just got back from the Lakes - weather improved over the rest of the week and by Thursday we saw sun! Had a trip up to Castlerigg but had to hold onto the tripod at all times as it was nearly blowing me over as well as the camera. Last couple of days were blue skies and white clouds - very chocolate boxy!

Hope everyone got home OK...

It was great to catch up again and associate some new faces to names. I look forward to seeing some of the pictures from the weekend. Hopefully, I'll have mine sorted this week.

For the next meeting, we're thinking down south, maybe the Dorset coast, in the autumn. Although the mention of woods in the thread on Wiltshire is alluring.

All the best,
Charles

A fabulous set Dave, I just feel envious now that I missed out :(
