Got my film back from Peak so thought I'd put a couple up here.

The first is a reflection of the trees in the River Derwent in Borrowdale a short walk from the cafe in Grange where we all met up.

The second is a view I found less the 100yds from the first. I liked the foreground rocks leading to the footbridge at the end of the stream.

Great to see the pictures coming in. While Dave T and gang were enjoying a chocolate box sunrise over Derwent Water, I was stuck in swirling mist above Langdale (the pikes of which I saw briefly). As the mist moved around, so did the colour of the light making for unpredictable results. All shot through an ApoRonar 420mm, from blue to red:

Once I joined the group in Grange, I shot a few B&W (Adox CHS25, RIP) with a Goerz double anastigmat and an Imagon, both 210mm.

(Thanks to Lynne Evans for risking life and limb while shielding the camera from passing traffic.)

I also took a few shots on 6x17, including one very close to Nigel's last one above, but they are not quite as interesting.

I look forward to the next meeting.

Quarries - three different ones. Three shots showing the varying stones in different quarries. These have all been enhanced using merge with a Silver EFEX Pro layer to enhance contrast and structure. I was looking for patterns in the faces of rock and missed looking for the intricate details of a more intimate view- maybe next time.

And the are more to come from Buttermere yet.

Glad to be of service, Charles! And obviously it was all worthwhile - that is a great shot; although my favourite is your real chocolate box final one of the cottage and topiary. It takes me back to childhood tins of biscuits (all the rage again now)!

Maybe I'll hang on to the LF a bit longer.

Lastly, a set from Buttermere where we were met with some interesting light (at times) and some wonderful reflections.

Looking toward High Crag. (Ebony 45SU with Fuji Velvia 100, 80mm lens, 1/8 sec @ f/32)

Image
Enjoying the reflections on the still water. (Ebony 45SU with Fuji Velvia 100, 270mm lens, 1/8 sec @ f/22)

Image
Used the polariser (thanks Dave) to cut through the reflections to make the stones under the water a detailed foreground. Lost the sky so I have cropped it off.(Ebony 45SU with Fuji Provia 100F, 150mm lens, 1/2 sec @ f/32)

Well, thats it from me. Hope you liked them. Comments welcome.
