It's shrouded in the mists of time and lore...

JRR Tolkien would be proud of it...

Two ancient scholars (possibly Chinese) discovered it...

Mr. Phoo came from the noble aristocracy of the distant lands...

Mr. Ty was a willing slave to the cause, humbled by his master's dedication...

They devoted their lives to perfecting it...

Seeking the ultimate experience at every step, twist and turn along the path...

Ah well, initiation completed and workshop over.

The six of us did not get as much shooting done as we would have liked, but the company and beer were very good.

Thanks to Dave, Barry, Steve, Sandeha and Matt - good to meet you all.

Steve

PS - I finally discovered that the rite involves a Tesco All Day Breakfast and becoming a rain-god for a couple of days (the clouds love you and follow you everywhere - acknowledgement to Douglas Adams for this insight).
Big is beautiful.

Excellent! Pity about the weather but I agree that maybe the UKLFPG are in fact rain gods 8) Perhaps the tea-shops are where the locals offer their sacrifices of tea and scones to try and appease us?

Thanks to Steve and all those who attended!

Do we need to start offering our services around the world - Africa, California etc?

Thanks Steve for organising this event. Although the weather was against us it was an interesting weekend. Nice hotel and great company.

I hope the weather was better for you on Monday Dave? Thanks Sandeha for bringing your superb Whole Plate, beautiful.

I look forward to meeting you all again.

Barry

I'll second that Barry. Thanks Steve - good to meet everyone on Sunday, albeit briefly.

Did anyone manage to get to Westonbirt Arboretum? If so were the "colours" any good?

It was indeed a pleasure, if brief as I could only be there for the Saturday. My thanks must go first to Steve Bell for his excellent (and patient) navigation around the hazards and deviations of Stroud. Best not to get caught up in that again, but then maybe they will repair the flood damage soon.

And thanks to all for good company, Dave, Steve, and Barry, and SteveH, who made the poor weather seem far less important.

Barry, I'll show you the Surveyor next time.

I too had a good time, although I only exposed 3 sheets. After leaving you all Sunday morning the weather was no better at the other end of the Cotswolds. It was wet and windy as I drove through Bibury.

Paul, as far as I know none of us went to Westonbirt. If the weather is suitable I hope to go there this coming Sunday. I'll google to see if the Acers have turned yet.
