Hi All,

Paul and I have been discussing the possibility of combining the Cotswold Day Out and the Autumn Workshop on the weekend of the 27/28 October in the Cotswolds.

This seems sensible to me and does not stop people from turning up just for the saturday.

Can we have your thoughts on this tentative plan please?

This would suite me fine. Any idea about a good hotel!

Sorry, I voted for the weekend and forgot to mention it. Sounds like a great plan.

I'll probably be dropping out of this one :( as it's at a busy time (I'm on a photo weekend the week before) and a bit of a drag for just a weekend.

There's some great views in some of the villages when you get the warm local stone - I guess Lower Slaughter and Castle Combe are chocolate-box / jigsaw picture favourites but there must be many more "undiscovered" corners...

All the best if you go...

PS there isn't a category for "not this weekend but would like to go at some point in the future if it was for a bit longer and I could afford..." ;)

Sory, can't make that weekend as I'll be in the Cairngorms :(

I've put in for the day as a minimum, but depending on how things go I might be able to extend.

I voted for the weekend, but depending upon where we were meeting or staying, I may drive in each day. Early morning I could be into the Cotswolds in anything from 1 hour to 1.5 hours.

I have noted that we are getting very close to the proposed dates for the autumn workshop, 27/8 October, and wondered if any progress had been made regarding suggestions for a hotel which will accommodate the group.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave

Pressure of work will keep me away from the proposed workshop. I know that Steve H is busy but I will try and contact him and see if there is any progress.

Greetings from France

We have only just managed to find an internet café so keeping up has been difficult. We will be back soon and could well still be interested. More when I return.

I am on leave for two weeks from the 1st October and the 13/14th October would have been ideal. I will be attending a Wedding the following weekend and I am on duty on the 27/28th. :(

Aaaagh!

Hi All,

On coming back from holiday it seems that, from organising a quick day out, I am now organising the Autumn workshop. This was a bit of a surprise!

I will try and find a venue for the evening of Saturday 27th (and book it). I'll try and get a private room for the meal, which will be standard pub fare. I will also try and find a local hotel that will give a good group rate (can't guarantee this but will try), then send out the information.

It will be down to individuals to book their own accomodation.

Have I got this right?

I will also provide a list of other places to stay and possible locations to shoot. All part of the service.....

All the best

Steve
