Alan Golding and myself are visiting Dungeness in Kent for the day on Sunday July 27th. The shingle bank scattered with working and abandoned boats, fisherman's huts and the remains of the fishing industry are ideal subjects for LF photography. The final arrangements haven't been made yet, but its likely we'll make an early start, have lunch in the local pub, then if we've done it to death, consider moving on to other interesting nearby places. Its a great area to photograph.
Anyone else is welcome to join us, it should be a great day.

It will be good to meet you Paul.
Like you, I've never shot Dungeness with LF. Once my LF kit was in the car but it was too windy to take out.
We'll probably be meeting in the small parking area on the right of the road about 1/4 mile before the pub. The track to the boats is opposite the parking area. Alan is on holiday, once he's back next Sunday we can finalise things.

Steve, are you still thinking of going to Dungeness on Sunday? I've been on holiday this past fortnight so am just catching up with activity on the forum. I pretty much know where to meet but just wondered what time you intended to get there?

Paul, I'm picking up Alan at 7am, we should arrive at the parking space around 8.15'ish. I'll pm you my mobile number.
Any more for any more? Dungeness is a great place to photograph, fingers crossed for a dry day and good light.

.. and I'll going down with Paul..
What format are you guys going to shoot with ? I'm hesitating between the Tachi 8x10 (B&W) and the Chamo 4x5 (B&W & Velvia) -- I've never been near the place so I'm not sure what to expect...

Buze, do a search for Dungeness in Flickr and you'll find lots of images, unfortunately there's a lot of yucky digital HDR type images but they'll give you an idea of the subject matter on offer.

Blimey that was quick John! I really like the simplicity of no.2
Good to meet you yesterday and a fellow Chamonix owner to boot!
Hope to post some of my images when they're done.

Just to say to all those I met yesterday for the first time, it was great to meet you. I think we all had a good time and I look forward to seeing you again in the not too distant future.

Six of us met up at Dungeness, it was very hot but still a great day. Good to meet everyone else.
I need to put together a little package of colour E6 to send to Peak, and develop my B&W this weekend.
