The mountainous highlands of Grand Canaria can offer spectacular sunset light. A short hike into the mountains rewarded us with a breathtaking view of a village nested among soaring red mountain peaks. Setting up my camera, I could hardly hold still in anticipation of the sunset to come. As if a story was being foretold, each step of the sun's decline evoked emotions of beauty and tranquility. This would be my most memorable moment on this trip.

Good shot. What was that taken on/with?

I'm off to the canaries myself in a few weeks, Fuerteventura. Hoping its not overrun with Brits on all-inclusive chicken-in-a-basket holidays.

Not sure about Fuerteventura, but it does get busy.. Hope you had a great time. How long are you staying? What gear are you taking?

Just going for two weeks. Family holiday so I'll be taking a small digital but shouldn't have much trouble fitting the 4x5 in.
