While driving towards the summit, the tight turning roads revealed little of what is to come before us. A sharp turn to the left and we faced a beautiful valley housing a small lake. Interestingly, as if pine trees and rocks set a truce, each stood aground on opposing banks of the lake. The location was great, but by now the harsh midday sun contrasted by intermitted cloud shadows did little to enhance the beauty of the landscape. At least I can document the view on a sheet of black and white, I thought. The accompanying image is what resulted. A future visit will have this location marked to capture on colour film.
Bigger version can be fund on my flick page.

Looks like a great scene, I quite like this black and white version and I can imagine it looking great in colour.
