It's late, but my instant comment is, I like it. More thought about it tomorrow.

Gari,

Neat!

Very nice, subtle colours, especially some of the blue and orange at the edges of the clouds. Much better that the hefty saturated colour contrast that is seen so often on similar pictures. I am going to hazard a guess of this not being shot on Velvia...?

The whole image presents a really nice calm atmosphere. Is that shot on Mull? If it is, I think I have to get myself up theresooner rather than later...

My only change would be to crop some of the bottom out to go for a square image. But then, I am a little biased to this (as some people will tell you :) )

Thanks Marc, the image was made on Kodak E100SW. It is on Mull, Salen to be precise, probably the most photographed boats on the Island!

Hi Gari,
Like Marc, I find the colour calming and I think the perfect reflection also conveyed a very calm evening (or dawn??).

The only thing which I will pick on (if I may) is the boat's front end (i don't know the right term) on the furthest right is sitting too on the edge of the film. I find it unbalance the whole scene. However, your technical executions are spot on. Good exposure and DOF. Can't wait to see more of your shots. Thanks for sharing.

Regards

Chong

Hi Chong, thanks for the comments, fair point. I had to crop that close as there is a rusting old scaffold that is about 2 feet out of shot, covered in old rope etc it spoilt the image. I agree that the balance has suffered as a result though.
