Epson V750 with Betterscan station

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

Epson V750 with Betterscan station

Post by uniB » Wed Mar 03, 2010 2:39 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I'm selling my Epson V750 which has been sitting about doing nothing for a while.
It's in good condition in it's original packaging and comes with Silverfast Ai. It also comes with the Betterscan mounting station which improves performance for 4x5 scanning no end and also allows for effective fluid mounting.
I can't find the original transparency mounts that Epson provide – I've always used it with the Betterscan kit so didn't need them. I suspect they're in the attic somewhere. If/when I find them I can forward them on.
£415 including shipping in the UK, I'll throw in some sheets Poliscan film, scanning fluid and some tape so you can try out fluid mounting (which I thoroughly recommend). Payment can be through PayPal.

Hi

If you want to sell the Betterscan mount separately, I'd be interested.

regards
Patrick

Hi there,
I would possibly be interested on just the scanner to conform with what patrick is saying above.
What would be your price for each?
Thanks,
Charlie

Hi Charlie/Patrick

I could split them if there's a buyer for both.

Split would be £50 for the Betterscan and £365 for the scanner.

I have now found the standard Epson 4x5 film holder.

I'll take the BS then if you do decide to split.

I'll have a think about it and get back to you.. really need to find a 135mm before spending money on a scanner though!
I'll try and let you know asap.
Thanks,
Charlie

I'll have another look for the missing holder agian tomorrow – that was my reasoning for selling the two items together, to make it a usable scanner without the holders.

I'm sure I still have them somewhere though

Just out of interest, (still trying to persuade myself that I need to be spending money on a scanner right now) but if you were dealing with local pickup, i.e. no postage, what figure would you be looking at for the job lot?

Hi Dave,

I'd say £390 for both with local pick up

Nice one, thanks for that info. I'm tempted, although it might be a different story after the car comes back from its MOT today......

Unfortunately I'd still have to drive to a decent off-license.

Dav, just been reading up, is that betterscanning mount the type with ANR glass that you can also drymount to?

Hi Dave,

Yes it is the ANR glass so yopu can also dry mount.

I have the same issue with my car tomorrow – MOT day, it's always a worry!
