SOLD: Ebony 45SU and Wide-angle Bellows SOLD

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

SOLD: Ebony 45SU and Wide-angle Bellows SOLD

Post by Stephen Vaughan » Tue Aug 17, 2010 4:03 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi Everyone,
I may regret this, but...

I'm selling my Ebony 45SU Asymmetric Non Folding Field Camera complete with additional interchangeable wide-angle bag bellows.

It is a wonderful camera with extensive movements, including asymmetric tilts/swings on the rear standard. Fast, precise and incredibly flexible.

The new price is more than £4500 for the camera and £440 for the bellows.

The bag bellows are Mint in Box.

The camera is boxed and in excellent condition. Everything is in the same perfect working order as when I bought it - precise, solid and a pleasure to use. It has been used (with care), so it does have some minor marks on the surface of the titanium tripod plate underneath, as you would expect.

Here is the link to Robert White's page for the 45SU, for those of you who don't know how fantastic this camera is.

Or, have a look at Ebony's website http://www.ebonycamera.com/cam.html

Camera and Bellows now SOLD
Many thanks!
Stephen

Steve! What are you doing!!

Just a quicky to say that the 45SU is not just a 'posh' camera - it's probably the easiest to use large format camera there is. If you want to work against the clock (and with landscape work that seems to be the norm) then the asymettric focus has proven to be more than just a gimmick (as backed up by Richard Childs and myself when trying to take 'quick pictures' with other cameras).

I do hope this isn't your only LF camera steve...
