FS: Wet/Dry plate cameras

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

FS: Wet/Dry plate cameras

Post by Andrew Plume » Wed Jul 27, 2011 9:24 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I have almost a dozen of these which I'm dead keen to sell pdq

most are half plate size but there a couple of quarter plate ones plus two whole plate, most come with decent quality brass (unshuttered) lenses and holders and are all very usable/definitely more than usable etc etc

this post is aimed at forum members who are seriously interested in these 'wood and brass' cameras, I'm not going to individually post them on here, so could anyone please send me a pm as there is some urgency involved

the first few will be going on the big auction site this weekend and the rest during August, so as one will have realised I'm looking for serious purchasers - no time wasters therefore, if one does not mind me saying so

and finally, these cameras are 100-120 years old, so please do not anticipate perfection, or as many movements as one would get from say a new Ebony (but there is a distinct cash saving) - it's the image that counts not the expensive gear, imho

thanks for looking

andrew

I would like to endorse Amdrew as a reputable seller. I've bought one camera and a couple of wonderful old lenses from him in the past and the service and packaging have been superb. I've met him as well and found him to be very informative about the stuff that he occasionally sells.
