SOLD - Testing the water! FS Fuji GX617 outfit

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

SOLD - Testing the water! FS Fuji GX617 outfit

Post by PAUL O » Sat Jun 20, 2009 11:27 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Toying with the idea of selling my Fuji GX617 outfit  reason for considering sale is my recent foray into 5x7 which means that I can "reproduce" the 6x17 image on 5x7" sheet film.

Outfit consists of:

Fuji GX617 body - in excellent condition. 100% fully functioning with smooth wind on lever, fresh batteries (for optional body-mounted shutter release) and body cap. Frame spacing is spot on. There are minor marks on the plastic casing - this is inevitable and for some reason the plastic casing is prone to this! There is a small chip (about 2mm) on edge of the casing just above where the back door meets the body but again this is purely cosmetic and you probably wouldn't notice it (its tucked away in the corner) but I'm just being fanatical here! Reversible 120/220 film pressure plate. Film is very easy to load - just like a big 35mm camera! Built in spirit level.

Fuji 105mm Viewfinder - mounts to camera top-plate but is also easily carried in your pocket as a viewer to gauge viewpoint before setting up camera. It shows accurate field of view too! Unmarked!

Fuji 105mm GX lens (interchangeable) - in awesome condition! Optics are absolutely flawless and shutter speeds are spot-on. There are a few marks on the crash bars but again this is purely cosmetic. Comes complete with correct front and rear caps and 77mm UV filter.

For the 105mm lens - original Fuji Centre Filter (this is a real godsend and only requires one stop of exposure compensation) it is VERY necessary with transparency films! Unmarked in plastic keeper.

For the 105mm lens - original Fuji Lens Hood. This is a slip-on hood, made of rigid plastic that simply attaches with a small screw. It is masked for 6x17 and being designed for this lens it does actually work in preventing unwanted light hitting the lens! It has a slot for 75mm resin/gel filters too!

Fuji GX617 Ground glass screen - essential for correct placing of ND Grad and Polarising filters! Comes complete with protective cap. There is a minor mark in screen (about a cm long) but again is just cosmetic and does not affect functionality.

The outfit also comes with the following bits:

Lowepro Omni-Pro Bag and Lowepro Hard Shell - both brand new and partitions configured to house the whole outfit plus films and other bits!

Slip-in spirit level for camera body.

Cable release - brand new, long version, black (rubber coated) with locking collar (needed for keeping shutter open when using ground glass screen).

Enough 120 roll film to last a while! I will throw in all the 120 film I have - approximately 10 rolls Ilford DElta 100, 10 rolls Fuji Provia 100, Ilford Pan F (5 rolls), Ilford SFX 200 (5 rolls plus an Infra Red Filter cut to fit the lens hood)) and whatever else is in the fridge - all well within use by dates!

Full set of instructions!

All in all a nice bit of kit. Current used prices seem to vary around the £2300 - £3000 range *there is a similar outfit (minus case) on ebay UK at the moment for a shade under £3K* and I'm looking for (sensible) offers around the £2K+ mark.

Full refund if not 100% happy too

Anyone interested? Photos available on request!
