WTB: Feeler 10x8 camera

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

WTB: Feeler 10x8 camera

Post by Marc Wilson » Mon Nov 02, 2009 3:25 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi guys,

I will be looking to buy a 8x10 camera in about three weeks or so and so am starting to look at what is out there.

Not looking to spend much for now, so a user camera is good. ( I will be able to get an improved model later next year if necessary)
A field camera is better than a monorail but monorail is ok to get me going.
Lighter is better but I know they come at a price.
Age of camera does not bother me.

Of course I'd love one where all the movements are superb but if the odd movement is a touch stiff that is ok for now.

So do let me know what you have by either pm or email.

Thanks,

Marc

Hi Marc,

I've just noticed that there is a 10x8 camera for sale at Teamwork Digital Ltd. It's described as "USED Tachihara 10x8 Wooden Field camera- shows some signs of use but not abuse" and is listed as £695.00 + VAT. It has a Product Code of 30022.

I'm not sure if this would be within your budget, but thought I'd pass on the information anyway. The web address is:

Kind regards,

Rod.

Thanks Rod,

That is just the type of thing I'll be looking at around March next year, as well as the shen and chamonix models...but in the meantime I need to try to pick one up for much less to get some time dependent shots before then.

Marc

I may be quite mistaken, but can't you hire one if it's just a small job?
Best regards,
Charles

its not a small one day job but a year long project so even for the short term hiring would be a bit much!

For my commercial work though...yes hiring is great.

I have a very nice Eastman 2D I can sell at a reasonable price if there is any interest. However, shipping from the USA may be prohibitive. Please let me know if you're interested.

There is a Bender monorail with 300mm lens finishing on eBay in an hour and currently at £330.
