Testing the water! 110XL

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

Testing the water! 110XL

Post by PAUL O » Sun Oct 24, 2010 3:09 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Testing the water as I'm having a proper cull of equipment

I have a perfect example of a Schneider Super Symmar 110mm XL. Lens has been owned by me from new and has been lovingly cared for!
It is absolutely pristine and can comfortably be described as MINT.
The aperture ring is super smooth and then shutter speeds are spot-on.
Glass and coatings are like new - as soon as it came out of its airtight plastic bag I fitted it with a 67-77mm B+W Step-up ring and a top quality 77mm UV filter. This "step-up" deals with the issue of the proximity of the outer edge of the barrel and the front element - athe glass in a 67mm filter will touch the front element. All topped off with a B+W 77mm clip-on lens cap. The original Schneider push-on cap is supplied as is the original box.
I also have the Schneider IIIb Centre Filter for use with this lens - again boxed and MINT.
Current price for the lens (from Robert White) is £1536.00 (inc VAT) and the Centre Filter is £285.00.
I am considering offers around £1100.00 for the lens alone or £1275.00 for lens and filter.
Postage will be free to a UK address and will be via Special Delivery.
Anyone???
