WTB: 8x10 or whole plate field camera

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

WTB: 8x10 or whole plate field camera

Post by Gareth Gardner » Thu Feb 03, 2011 2:28 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi, just thought I'd drop a line to see if anyone is interested in selling their 8x10 or whole plate field camera. I'm looking for something new or old, but good condition with light-tight bellows and - if it's vintage - suitable lens panels etc to ensure that the camera is fully functional.

It's for a project - with the aim of processing and contact printing my own negs - so the camera must be in good working order.

It would need to be relatively lightweight, as I would out-and-about shooting the urban environment. So I'm thinking of something along the size/scale of a Shen Hao, Chamonix, Gandolfi, Wehman etc.

Or if anyone spots a good one secondhand somewhere, please let me know about it!!

I'm a professional photographer based in west London. This camera is for a personal project, so I'm not looking to spend a fortune. Feel free to ask me anything else.

Thanks in advance.
