Hi Dave,

I know it's not what you asked for, but I've just had a note from Peter Walnes indicating that he has a Nikkor-M f/9 300 mm lens for sale in near mint condition for £325. I had been looking for one of these some time ago, but eventually bought a 270 mm G-Claron. Perhaps you could use the Nikkor with a tophat? Just a thought.

By the way, I have absolutely no connection with Peter Walnes, other than I've bought a couple of lenses from him in the past and have been very satisfied with them and his service.
