Enlarger with Ilford 500 head

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

Enlarger with Ilford 500 head

Post by michaelfinch » Tue Apr 26, 2011 3:52 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

All now sold. Thanks for the interest.

I don't do darkroom these days (apart from developing BW film) so I'm letting go of my Beseler 45MX 5x4 enlarger plus bits and bobs.
The enlarger is solid and in good working order. It has a motorised head, a condenser head, a Beseler Dichro head and an Ilford Multigrade head with timer and footswitch etc. All working, cables etc included. There are also half a dozen spare bulbs for the condenser/dichro heads.
Lenses: 150 Schneider Componon-S for 5x4, and fairly old but good Schneider 135mm that also covers 5x4. There's also a Rodenstock 40mm (WA) for 35mm format plus a couple of others.
There are film carriers for 5x4, 6x7, 6x6, 35mm plus a carrier that permits a full roll of 35mm to be mounted and rolled through one frame at a time.
'Tis a big beast and would collection only although I could deliver within a reasonable distance around NW England. £250, would be reluctant to split.

Could you give me an idea of the height of the enlarger with the head fully extended?

Hi Adrian. It is about 54in high fully extended with the Ilford head (a little more with the condenser, a little less with the Dichro 45S head. That gives something a bit bigger than 16x20 with the 150mm lens and if II remember correctly something like 24x30 with the 135mm lens.BTW, I've located the (brief) manual for both the enlarger and the colour head. The enlarger is the 45MX II.
Cheers
