Selling my LF gear
The time has come ...
Having done VERY little LF over the last year or so I've decided to hang up my tripod and dark-cloth.
I'm listing my remaining kit to hopefully sell to a Forum User or gauge level of interest before hawking it on Ebay!
Here goes:
1. Walker 5x7 XL Wide camera - in lovely condition, all movements/locks are solid and precise. It has been adapted by Mike Walker to accept a Toyo Fold Up Focus Hood - attachment on ground glass frame. The focus hood is easily removed but is a real godsend if you don't need a darkcloth. Comes with Toyo Focus Hood. Takes Ebony/Wista/Linhof-sized lens panels.
2. Canham 6x17cms Panoramic Roll Film Back - in lovely condition. Enables 120 roll film to be used to produce 6x17 images and wind on is motorised! Fits to camera back using the sliding "graflock-type" tabs. Frame spacing is perfect and film is held perfectly flat.
3. Schneider Super Symmar 110mm XL - (again) in lovely condition. Totally unmarked and boxed. Comes with 67-77mm step-up ring and UV filter (fitted from new). Covers the 5x7 format comfortably. With lens wrap.
4. Schneider Centre Filter for the 110mm XL - boxed as new.
5. Fujinon 250mm 6.7 lens - a real sleeper! In lovely condition and comfortably covers the 5x7 format. Fitted with UV filter. Very sharp. With lens wrap.
6. Lowepro Super Trekker backpack - nice condition.
I'm looking to sell as an outfit but will consider serious offers for individual items. Contact me to discuss individual prices!!
Price for the whole outfit (plus a selection of filters, cable releases, darkcloth etc) ... £2500.00 OVNO plus postage.

Re: Selling my LF gear
Nooooo! you can't sell up, just think of all that money you're gonna spend when you've realised your mistake and have to buy it all again... seriously would love to buy the Symmar but have no funds at the mo...
When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.

Re: Selling my LF gear
As an update... I have had a serious offer for the whole outfit and if this does not transpire I will contact those who have PM'd me with a view to splitting the kit.
Many thanks for the kind words from Forum Members who have PM'd me! My health is fine!! My decision to sell has been a long one and (hopefully) will be the right one!
I will always maintain my interest in LF photography and this group but my "path" lies in another direction!
Regards
Paul

Sadly Paul I think I may be following you shortly, projects and enjoyment in other places and LF gear largely unused. Good luck with whatever the venture is !

Re: Selling my LF gear
What, Dave? Again? Didn't you sell all your LF stuff last year only to get back into shooting 5x4 a few months later?
Re: Selling my LF gear
Not entirely true Mr B....... only reduced my kit down to a small amount which has been added to albeit very slightly.

Re: Selling my LF gear
Superb kit! I can recommend this set-up as it is similar to mine. Am however using a vintage 108mm as a sub for my 90 and 135....but may be interested in the 110mm to replace it. I could also do with a second Canham back. PM me please if that's an option.

Re: Selling my LF gear
Just on the very slim chance that this is still available I would take it at asking price. I know it's been a while since this was posted but I figure I might still have a chance

Re: Selling my LF gear
As a service to those hoping to buy Paul's items...I was the "serious offer" for the whole kit. However, Paul ultimately decided to keep his LF/6x17 gear, a decision I heartily applauded--I'd rather have him around as an LFer, since he's such a thoroughly nice chap.

Re: Selling my LF gear
David, I agree. We want more LF users not fewer. I will carry on searching for a 'bargin' 110mm XL.
