I recently bought a box of old MPP stuff from a retired photographer as I wanted the MPP Universal viewfinder. Consequently I have a box of 10 old MPP 5x4 darkslides that I want to sell on. These pre-date the 'blue' version but seem to be in pretty good nick and all come complete with the cut film holders.

I don't want to start sending them off individually so am offering them for £30 for 5 or £50 for 10. Postage within the UK should be about £6. Any offers?

Hi Paul,

You should get some takers for these as they are the Bee's Knees for those doing 5x4 wetplate, that is assuming they are the ones for glass plates, but also have the septum for film!

It's important to know whether they are true International fit in terms of register or not, unfortunately MPP were the only company to make a few cameras and holders that were non standard.

That would be even more critical for wet plate where lenses are hardly stopped down.

I have about 15 maybe 20 MPP DDS and luckily all mine are OK, I've been using them for some time but have also measured them. This does need to be borne in mind maybe the OP/Seller could check.

There must be a few (early) MPP owners who need the non standard type anyway.
