120 film wanted

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

120 film wanted

Post by Liam » Mon Jul 02, 2012 12:45 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi,

I am driving to Mongolia in under 2 weeks and plan on taking my medium format camera. I was therefore wondering if anyone has any old 120 film that they don't use / want and wouldn't mind selling cheap!

Thanks

I definitely have some 20 year old Tri-X that you can have and some newer colour neg film which I wouldn't want a lot for. I'll have look in my fridge tonight and get back to you.

Hi Liam

With absolutely no disrespect intended, if you're driving that far (and I assume that this will not be a regular occurence), wouldn't it be better to invest in fresh film?

Just my few cents worth

You are probably right Andrew, but as I am a student and have already spent a truly ridiculous amount on everything else for this trip and I was trying to save a bit of money..

Hi Liam

Simple question - is it only 120 film or can you use 220?

I might have a few old rolls to spare.

Best regards

Andrew

I have maybe 10 or 20 rolls of outdated 120 slide film that you can have for postage if you want. It is mainly Kodak and it has been stored in my film fridge since I got it as part of a bundle some years ago. Not sure I'd want to risk it on a trip to Mongolia, but you could get 1 or 2 processed before you go and see if they are OK.

Let me know, Peter

Hi Liam

I have 7 rolls of very old Tri-X you can have. It's dated 1989, have tried a couple of rolls and there are some signs of base fogging but seem to scan OK. I also have 4 rolls of 2009 Fuji Reala 100 that you can have. I don't want anything for them except postage costs, PM me your details if you want them.
