WTB Universal Lens Mount (iris)

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

WTB Universal Lens Mount (iris)

Post by Yassen Roussev » Fri Sep 21, 2012 2:28 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi all, does anyone by chance have a Universal Lens Mount for sale like the ones in the following links:

http://www.earlyphotography.co.uk/site/entry_L95.html
http://fourtoes.co.uk/iblog/?p=1554

Need a big one that opens about 3" that can take heavy lenses.

Thank you

Yassen

Hi Yassen

They're pretty hard to find and particularly so in the UK, possibly because they were usually made in Europe

The last one that was sold on ebay realised around £210 and on top of that the buyer will have had to account for the shipping costs and import duties etc, so they're not cheap

The best online forum for you to check, is 'The Large Format Photography Forum', where they seem to crop up for sale (far) more regularly, say once a month on average but they tend to be sold very quickly and many of the US based sellers on there, usually prefer to sell to US addresses only

I have four but I'm afraid that they're all keepers

.............and as it happens and which confirms what I've recently said, above...................

two were listed on that said site earlier today, both went inside three hours, their scarcity dictates speedy sales

BUT there's one that seems to be currently unsold, US$300 + shipping from over there

Hi Tony

that Camera has been on the big auction site for a few weeks....................

the seller is I'm sure (and I have no connection etc etc) being pretty canny here, the correct price is probably no more than £250, at best

if Yassen hasn't found one yet, then one will eventually come up in Europe, with a Camera but the Camera can then be sold on. Yassen, the best place to look is on 'ebay germany' and type in 'plattenkameras' into the search engine

best
