Wista 5x4

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

Wista 5x4

Post by michaelfinch » Fri Aug 09, 2013 2:04 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I'm rationalising my bits and pieces and concentrating on completing a rebuild of an ancient Thornton Pickard half-plate.
I have a lovely wooden Wista 5x4 that's gathering too much dust at present. I can never remember which wood it is made from but I think it is Rose wood as it is fairly dark in tone. I'm offering it as a start-up outfit: camera, 90mm Schneider Angulon f6.8 (serial No 8968345) on a Wista panel, 4 DDS and a mag loupe. It's a very good and rightly popular light-weight field camera that's had relatively light use. Good overall cosmetic condition although there is a small scratch on the fresnel which doesn't affect viewing and focusing. I'm looking for £400 for the kit. If anyone is interested I can PM pics or post them here.
