FS: Tachihara 4x5 in cherry wood

Anything to sell (WTS) or looking for anything specific (WTB)? Anything advertised on this forum comes with the usual "buyer beware" advice; it is up to the purchaser to assure themselves of the integrity of the supplier and item being sold. It is also the responsibility of the seller to ensure that payment is forthcoming before parting with said item.

FS: Tachihara 4x5 in cherry wood

Post by Collas » Wed Aug 20, 2014 12:06 pm Etc/GMT-1+01:00

I'm selling my Tachihara 4x5 field camera. I bought it second-hand from Matt at Robert White back in the late '90s and have used it very occasionally over the years.

It comes without lens or lens boards as I'm keeping all of those for the current camera.

There are some light rubbing marks on the wood: where the latch for holding the camera closed has caught, and the bottom edges of the front standard where the lens boards have caught the sides. Apart from that, it's in very good condition for a 1992 camera.

It's fitted with a Fresnel lens, which makes focusing much easier. I have the original Tachihara instruction manual, as well.

The longest lens I've used has been a Fujinon 300mm, the shortest a Schneider 90mm.

Please make me an offer, before I put it on eBay. Postage will be £28, I'm afraid.

I'd put a Buy-it-now price of £450, but as the bidding has started it will now have to play out of its own accord.
