Joanna kindly suggested I join this forum after I posted on the LFP Forum.
I live in York and currently I shoot colour transparencies of landscapes and general pictorial subjects on 6x6cm using a Hasselblad system. I enjoy this very much but I've now started to think very seriously about getting a 5x4 field camera. I like the idea of doing some 'real' photography and taking my time to produce a few really high quality transparencies.
To start with I have some questions regarding the availability of 5x4 cameras in the UK so I'll post them in a new thread somewhere appropriate.
Anyway, greetings to you all and looking forward to reading about your views and experiences.
Gavin

Re: Hello from York
Welcome Gavin
Using a Hassie is still 'real photography'... 5x4 is just a lot bigger that's all

Thanks, Paul. Yes, I do regard the 'big H' as real photography too - I should've put one of those winky, smiley things next to that comment!
