Greetings from Afghanistan

Post by robmp61 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:26 am Etc/GMT-1+01:00

Hi all,
Completing a tour of Afghanistan, as a medic/nurse, and looking forward to getting back home and heading for the hills with my camera gear. I am a film user, based in Dundee, and at present use Mamiya MF kit and Fotoman Panoramic cameras.
I have always wanted to try out LF and whilst browsing the Internet, during the quieter moments out here, I chanced upon your forum and have now been sucked into the world of LF.
I have purchased a Shen Hao TZ45 IIB, 90mm lens, DDS's, lots of lovely film and various bits of LF equipment which awaits me upon my return at the end of the month.
Touring the Scottish islands in my campervan and using this as an opportunity for some familirizsation training with the gear. Hope to have some useable images by the end of it.
:? Now for the first of many questions: Loxley Colour labs in Glasgow always did my E6 processing until they stopped film processing last year. Where do fellow Scottish LF users get there E6/BW processed?

Welcome to the forum Rob.

I tend to get my film processed at either Peak Imaging in Sheffield or The Darkroom in Cheltenham, I'm sure there will be someone along shortly to point you towards processing houses North of the border.

Stay safe out there

Paul
When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.

Welcome to the forum, Rob.

Your trip round the islands in your campervan with your new gear will be one to remember, you'll be completely hooked after that!
