I am just getting back into analogue photography after a short interlude with digital, though I still use the digital for work. I started out in photography when I was 15 just over 30 years ago, and in that time have worked selling cameras, printing in a big commercial lab, running a mini lab and photographing in a holiday camp, before going on to college to get some formal qualifications. After which I started out as a photographer for the MOD up to the present day where I am now self employed. I had limited experience of large format in college some 25 years ago, but have just got back into it after buying a Wista DX and then I also acquired a Chamonix 45N-1, its still early days with the cameras, mainly due to time constraints, which I am trying to rectify over the next few months. I have started off shooting a few test shots in 4x5, but in the main I have been shooting 6x12 and 6x9 with backs, till I get to know the equipment better, practicing setting up and getting used to movements, focusing etc. I look forward to calling in here to catch up, I think their are a few members here from another forum I spend some time on.

Hi Neil, good to see you here and I do hope you find LF fulfilling? I think once the 'bug' bites you'll never look back. :D

Hi Trevor nice to catch up with you here, I love LF so far it appeals to the slow methodical approach to photography I had when I started out all those years ago. The bug has bitten and its a rather expensive one, I have just bought my first 4x5 transparency which I think is on a par with 8x10 BW :'( and I have been talking with Matt at AG about the Ilfochrome process my wallet is feeling the strain.
