Hi I'm Matt Kaye, I run my own graphic design company based in Swindon, Wilts.
I've been running Drum Scanners for over 20 years including Fuji Celsis 6250, heidelberg Tango.
I own 2 Large Fuji Lanovia Quattros, an ICG 360i 12000 dpi Drum Scanner, Nikon 9000, Polaroid 120, Epson v750 pro, Fuji Frontier front scanning End, as well as a lot of others.

As you've probably noticed no Imacons! That is through choice, I had an Imacon 949 and wasn't versatile enough and not really in the Drum Scanner league.

I offer scanning as a sideline to my Graphic / Web design and work with photographers to give high res scans for the budget concious. Having been an Art Student myself back on the eighties I also offer student scanning services as well.

Running optical resolutions from 5000 to 12000 dpi with a full Fuji trained workflow, I also have an extensive range of film stock profiles amassed over 20years in the Repro business and specialise in black & white Neg.

I've scanned images for Vogue, Elle, Esquire etc to name just a few.

Welcome to the Forum. Glad to hear you are changing the website as the old one used to freak me out, memorable, but those eyes...! I guess it was probably not designed for boring old fart landscape photographers like me but Rankin wanabees. Do you get any time for LF photography or is your life taken over by scanning? Mind, I do think scanning is an art form in itself and looking at a lot of amateur V750 digital mush, the skills need to be preserved. Considering your collection of kit, it sounds like you are an obsessive, are you a UK Joseph Holmes http://www.josephholmes.com/index.html or better?
Here's hoping you are offering a healthy discount to ragged trousered large formatists on this forum.

Ha Ha, I like the Epson Mush terminology! Unfortunately Adrian I don't get to spend as much time as I like with the old film format. I've got a Widepan, Fuji Ga645 and Bronica RF 645, which when I use them is like a special treat for me. Most of the time I spend in the digital world of Photoshop and Macs etc.

I do also create a lot of the handheld 360VR stuff, take a look at http://www.virtuaswindon.com/eros for a sample. As I'm a full time graphic designer I've always got something different on. I'm one of the only dedicated repro's houses left in the UK that offers High Res Scans at low prices, I'm just in the process of CopyDot Scanning some old Films for the Manfred Man 60 Year anniversary CD collection

It seems that I attract scanners, I collect them and then put them through their paces etc. My new website, (which should be online soon) will feature some real world Scanner Shoot outs to show people what to expect. Epson v750 v Imacon 949 v Nikon 9000 v Fuji Lanovia v Drum Scans etc. Also got some 1gb zoomable scans from the ICG. I was trained by Fuji/Crossfield on the scanner side and been in the print industry for 20 years now. I also see a lot of Epson v750 / Imacon twaddle on the net, but what are they comparing the scans to? Most people haven't even seen a drum scan, I was churning them out at around 50 a day back in the glory days of the Repro Industry on a £100,000 Fuji Celsis 6250, so seen enough of them!

I'm always willing to help out on tricky scanning projects, so just give me a shout, if your getting 'Mush' out your scanner!
