Hello from the Manchester area

Hi all,

Thought I would join up and introduce myself since an impulse buy on ebay yesterday landed me a Sinar P, some lenses and other bits and bobs. Not used a LF camera since college nearly 20 years ago, so will be hitting a re-learning curve pretty steeply once I collect the gear. Just used a digital SLR for the last couple of years so hopefully this new kit will broaden my horizons considerably.

If there is anyone out there with a similar model camera I might just have a few questions to ask, hopefully I wont myther too much!

Nigel

Hi Nigel.
I have a Sinar P and I live in Chorlton.
Hope you're getting on well with it :)
Drop me a line if you like. They are beautiful (but heavy) cameras.

Ha Ha!
Cheers for the reply, we're practically neighbours!

Just need to get a changing bag so I can load some film and get started - looking forward to my first images. I'll give you a wave if I see you out and about with your camera.

Cheers again

Nigel

Another welcome to the forum Nigel, it seems you've just found out that LF is not the isolated community some people think it is.

Hi Muz, I saw your posts earlier today.
I live very close to you but I'm really busy at the moment and I've been trying to figure out how soon I can dedicate a little time.
I'll PM you my phone number so we can have a chat.
